The Gubb: LinkedIn Coach Helping Introverted Female Entrepreneurs With Imposter Syndrome By Getting Out Of Comfort Zones Devastated Her 36-week Webinar Is Shit.
A business mentor was running a successful online company but her bank balance told her otherwise.
A woman can no longer afford her Range Rover repayments as her webinar for anxiety-ridden businesswomen doesn’t work. Mandy Harper 45 of Sevenoaks, was once a successful employee. With that previous success came the false confidence that she could run her own coaching business. “How hard can it be?” was something Mandy would say in the mirror each morning. Unfortunately, self-employment turned out to be really fucking hard.
In the early weeks of freelancing, Mandy gained hundreds of connections and followers. “There were loads of introverted female entrepreneurs with imposter syndrome on Linkedin, I couldn’t believe my luck. All I needed to do now was find a way to exploit that market.” Her course, Helping Introverted Female Entrepreneurs with Imposter Syndrome by Getting out of Comfort Zones with my 36-week webinar saw some initial interest. “Women wanted to know how to make more money, be more confident and they were prepared to jump out of planes—metaphorically and figuratively to learn how.”
Comfort zones are key.
Asking her clients to perform activities they hate is a method Mandy insists works. “Existing outside of your comfort zone promotes personal and professional growth. I don’t know the science but I know from people living in constant discomfort just how effective getting uncomfortable can be.” Mandy warns that human potential can’t be fulfilled by a life of contentment, “If you’re not throwing yourself into public speaking, in-person networking, and awkward dates with weirdos, you’re not really living—you’re existing.”
Mandy is reluctant to reveal her methods.
When questioned about the course details, she declined to talk about specifics. “You have to pay for that privilege but I will say this, my webinar involves a lot of Rumi quotes and excerpts from The Secret.” Despite the money and time Mandy has invested, car repayments remain elusive. She’s thinking of adding ‘AI specialist marketer’ to her LinkedIn headline.
