New findings suggest an increasing number of creative professionals are choosing to make their "online home" a fucking nightmare to navigate.
Bristol-based branding specialists, Find My Why have come under fire from potential clients struggling to locate information on their website.
Janet Lawley, a makeup company founder from Epping Forest, expected to see a Contact Us option on the homepage navigation bar, instead, she was met with headings that bore no resemblance to the pages they linked to: “It was a game of potluck. I eventually found their email address when I clicked the word, ‘Seek’.”
John Hunter, a graphic designer from Basingstoke, struggled to find the company blog. After some lateral thinking, he took a punt on the heading titled, ‘Wisdom’ where he found some self-indulgent articles.
A spokesperson for the company insisted that most people had no problem moving around the site: “We actually get great feedback from clients. They love the autoplay banner video showing the team enjoying table football—it totally vibes our nicknames-only culture and demonstrates how we communicate through high-fiving.” When questioned about the allegation of pretentiousness over user experience they issued this formal statement: “We care about our clients but submitting to their navigational needs would compromise our core values. Our ‘why’ is creative integrity, asking us to be anything other than our authentic selves is like asking a fish to stop swimming.”
Thankfully, they’re not called Find My Services Button.
